AVS+
This feature is specific to AviSynthPlus.

It is not supported in other AviSynth versions.

Extract a plane from the source clip.
Resulting clip is Y-only (Y8, Y10 etc. as appropriate)
Replaces ShowAlpha/Red/Green/Blue, UToY/VToY and ConvertToY8 with high bit depth support.

PlaneToY(clip, string plane)

clip   =
Source clip.
If specified plane does not exist, an error is raised.


string  plane = "Y"
The color plane to be extracted.
If specified plane does not exist, an error is raised.


ShowY(clip, string pixel_type)
ShowU(clip, string pixel_type)
ShowV(clip, string pixel_type)

clip   =
Source clip. Accepts 8-16 integer bit depths, but not Float.
If specified plane does not exist, an error is raised.


string  pixel_type = (same as clip)
Set color format of the returned clip.
Cannot convert bit depths or YUV↔RGB, but can convert from 4:4:4 to 4:2:0 etc.
